Everything has a history...Our story is simple. In 2004, a woman (in Florida) determined the magnificent possibilities underlying the concept of Engraved Concrete Designs, thus the business was born. As the business began to establish, Kip (in Kansas) realized the potential of these applications and techniques in the Midwest - where it's either concrete masses or luxurious flowing fields, for the most part. Kip knew it didn't have to be just plain, old, sometimes worn and tired concrete. Taking into account the added benefit of his intense and highly detailed construction knowledge, he had a vision to make those concrete elements as elegant as nature's terrain. In October, 2005, Kip & his lovely wife, Tia, took over Engraved Concrete Designs. In their short year as "new owners", they've developed a number of unique designs of their own in addition to what all else is available within the "engraved concrete" world. Each page holds at least one "unique" design from Engraved Concrete Designs. Note the vast diversity - from subtle to sublime:
